พลโทภาณุ โรจนวสุ รองนายกเทศมนตรีนครเชียงใหม่ได้ให้เกียรติเป็นประธานในพิธีเปิดนิทรรศการ "ดาบงามในแผ่นดิน" Beautiful Swords of Our Land ร่วมด้วยคุณหญิงวิมล ศิริไพบูลย์ ศิลปินแห่งชาติสาขาวรรณศิลป์ และคุณสุรเดช ลิ้มพานิชร่วมเป็นเกียรติในพิธี โดยมีนางสุวารี วงค์กองแก้ว หัวหน้างานกลุ่มงานส่งเสริมการพัฒนาเมือง กองวิชาการและแผนงาน เทศบาลนครเชียงใหม่ ในฐานะผู้ดูแลหอศิลปวัฒนธรรมเมืองเชียงใหม่ได้ให้การต้อนรับพร้อมนำชมความงดงามของดาบที่จัดแสดงภายในห้องนิทรรศการ

Swords were weapons used for protecting our homeland and as objects in sacred ceremonies and rituals of faith. Now the swords have become a symbol of courage, a work of art inherited from brave warriors in the past. Swords have a variety of styles. Each ethnic group created their swords that expressed their own identity.
This “Beautiful Swords of Our Land” Exhibition has collected beautifully intricate swords from various sources to exhibit for those who are interested in studying swords from a time by gone and raising awareness among young people about the need to preserve heritage and learn the story of their ancestors through these important weapons as well as carry forward the rich heritage and craftsmanship of the cultures.
The Beautiful Swords of Our Land Exhibiton. It was held under the cooperation between Chiang Mai Centre Museums and the artists by Wiluck Sripasang, Nonthanan Chinthongprasert and Patihan Aimsupa.
The exhibition on display until August 7th, 2018
